About Japan Club (Unless otherwise noted all meetings are at Dundee High School.)
Japan Club began during the 2013-2014 school year, so this is the beginning of our 7th year. We are open to all high school students in Monroe County who are interested in Japanese. You do not have to be taking one of the Japanese classes to participate. The club's activities are student driven, meaning that teachers and parents assist with all facets of the club, but students come up with and help run the things we do. Last year we cooked Japanese food, did Shibori dyeing, attended a Taiko Drumming course, put on an elementary Japanese enrichment class, competed in the Michigan Japanese Quiz Bowl, assisted at Monroe Community College's One Book, One Community Event, and attended World Languages Day at MSU. We're hoping to add more activities this year. Join us!
Sadly, Japan Club is suspended until further notice.
